The historic collaboration between the FS Group and Komen Italia continues also in 2023, as has been the case for over ten years, Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane supports Race for the Cure, the largest event in the world for the prevention of breast cancer.
 
FS Group employees will participate in the itinerant charity run, actively contributing to the fundraising. The programme is rich in events. The first appointment will be held from 4 to 7 May in Rome at the Circo Massimo, after which the race will move to other Italian cities such as Bari (12–14 May), Brescia (17–15 September), Bologna (22–24 September), Naples (23–24 September) and Matera (29 September–1 October).
 
The presence at Race for the Cure underlines the FS Group’s concrete commitment to the realisation of projects and initiatives in the interest of the underprivileged and its focus on prevention, the promotion of health and solidarity. “Protecting people’s health and well-being, starting with our own colleagues in the FS Group, is part of our corporate culture and is a founding principle of the social and industrial identity, as well as an essential value of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane. This is why we wholeheartedly support the Race for the Cure initiative and stand alongside the Komen Italia Association in encouraging information on healthy lifestyles and the culture of prevention,” stated Luca Torchia, Chief Communication Officer of the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group.

Race for the Cure is the flagship event of Komen Italia, a Social Promotion Association, and is held under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic, with the support and participation of the main institutions to celebrate Women in Pink, ergo all women who are facing or have faced breast cancer.
