The Code of Ethics clearly states the responsibilities, ethical and social commitments that the Ferrovie dello Stato Group has with the stakeholders, and outlines the rules underlying any Group action.
Its content is based on the cultural heritage values of the company and is inspired by ethical principles dictated by changes in the market and the social context where the Group works. Precise standards of behaviour have been set to manage relations with the various parties.
The Code of Ethics is approved by the Boards of Directors of all the Group companies and applies to the Corporate Bodies, management, employees, external consultants, commercial partners, suppliers and all those who have relationships with the Group.
The FS Italiane Group is a member of the UIC, the International Union of Railways, an organisation which promotes the rail sector around the world as part of the solution to the challenges of mobility and sustainable development. As a signatory to the "UIC declaration on Sustainable Mobility and transport", the FS Group has formalised its commitment to responsible behaviour on human rights at work, the environment and anti-corruption, in line with the ten principles of the Global Compact promoted by the UN.
