Rome, 5 December 2024 - The December issue of La Freccia spurs young people to pursue a path to happiness. To get to the bottom of everything, besides a day-to-day commitment, we need the ability to look at the future. And for the future to be solid and structured, it should be planned and designed. This is also the journey of Francesca Fagnani, the face of this issue, who bares it all! From her success on the Belve TV show, to her idea of a family ("the place you can call home"), her temperament ("I must admit I’m a bit arrogant") and her obsession with living up to people's affection. Without forgetting her focus on young people, "who are the human capital we should invest in".
As always, the magazine suggests different itineraries to discover the beauty of our Country. It begins with the Italian railway museums, where Christmas is celebrated among royal carriages and 100-year-old locomotives. Then it passes through Genoa, with actor and director Marcello Cesena’s guide to unusual and secret places, and then on to Modena to discover the secrets of balsamic vinegar. While waiting for the Holy Door at the Vatican to open, inaugurating the 27th Jubilee.
The need to build a better future is at the heart of two photographic projects, about the delicate balance between human beings and nature: Mitch Epstein's trilogy on show in Turin, and the Wildlife Photographer of the Year shots on display in Milan.
There is no shortage of interviews either, with actresses Jasmine Trinca and Barbara Ronchi, starring in Ferzan Ozpetek's Diamanti and Cristina Comencini's The Children's Train, respectively, and Luca Marinelli and Elodie, exceptional dubbers for Mufasa - The Lion King, to Renzo Arbore’s comeback on TV with the show Come ridevamo and Carlotta Perego, a plant-based cooking influencer and her new book Scuola vegetale.
Last but not least, this issue also features sports, with the Ski World Cup on the Stelvio slope in Bormio, which will host the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics in just over a year's time.
All this and more in December's La Freccia, available in digital format on FS Italiane and in take-away print magazine on Trenitalia Frecce trains, in the FRECCIALounge and in FRECCIAClubs.
