The Paris-Milan Frecciarossa connection by Trenitalia France - a Trenitalia (FS Italiane Group) company - will be resumed in April 2025. And June will also see the new Paris-Marseilles connection, with Trenitalia’s fleet flagship train.
The exciting news were presented today in Paris by Trenitalia France CEO, Marco Caposciutti, and are part of FS Italiane Group's 2025-2029 Strategic Plan, aimed at increasing the Group's presence abroad, and expand the already EUR 3 billion turnover and 12K employees.

Since December 2021, more than three million passengers have been transported. A success accompanied by high passenger satisfaction rates, with 98% saying they were satisfied with their trip, and 97% ready to repeat the experience and recommend Trenitalia to their acquaintances*.
The Paris-Lyon link also continues to gain travellers, with a 40% increase between 2023 and 2024.
The reopening of the Milan-Paris connection - which was interrupted at the end of August 2023, due to a landslide in the Maurienne valley - is one of the main actions of Trenitalia France's growth strategy for the current year.
There will be four daily departures - two from Paris at 7.30 a.m. and 3.20 p.m. and two from Milan at 6.25 a.m. and 3.53 p.m - and a total journey time of around seven hours. The train will make the following stops between Paris and Milan: Lyon - Chambéry - Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne - Modane - Oulx - Turin. Tickets can be purchased starting today, on Trenitalia's sales channels.
The Paris-Marseille Frecciarossa connection marks a new decisive step in Trenitalia's expansion in France. From 15 June 2025, four daily trips will be available. The 3-hour and 20-minute trip will connect the French capital, departing from Paris-Gare-de-Lyon, to Marseilles’ Saint-Charles station. The intermediate stops will be Lyon Saint-Exupéry, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and Marseille Saint-Charles.
This daily frequency will strengthen sustainable mobility between the north and south of France, offering a fast and comfortable solution, increasingly attractive for people travelling for work, leisure and tourism.
