Frecciarosa 2023 also travels on trains in Abruzzo.
On Wednesday, 11 October, two regional trains shall be involved in the initiative – train R 4210 departing from Pescara at 10:15 am bound for Ancona (arriving at 12:17 pm) and train R 4217 departing from Ancona at 1:45 pm and reaching Pescara at 3:40 pm. Intermediate stops in the Abruzzo territory will be Pineto Atri, Roseto, Giulianova, Tortoreto and Alba Adriatica.
Aboard the trains, volunteers and medical specialists shall be on hand to provide advice and distribute informational material, including the “Health Guide”, a brochure on healthy lifestyles aimed at cancer prevention. This year, the booklet has been translated into English and is available on the frecciarosa.it website, where there will also be teleconsultations two days a week for the entire month.
Frecciarosa 2023 is the breast cancer prevention project promoted by the IncontraDonna Foundation with the Italian FS Group and the patronage of the Ministry of Health and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, which will provide consultations aboard High Speed, InterCity and Regional trains for the entire month of October.
Being keen to promote health initiatives, the FS Italiane Group wished to renew its support for the Frecciarosa project by offering citizens and passengers a health-protection service. Trains and stations are made available to the population, and women in particular, to offer specialist medical support on cancer prevention and the fight against breast cancer.
