Just one incomplete railway job is registered in the Ministry of Infrastructures and Transport databank according to figures concerning Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane with respect to the analyses made by Minister Graziano Delrio regarding works of national interest still to be completed (649).
The work in question concerns a new railway connection between Matera La Martella and Ferrandina Station along the Metaponto-Potenza line.
This job has not reached completion due to difficulties that Rete Ferroviaria Italiana encountered in receiving authorisation from Local Authorities.
Other incomplete minor works (eight level crossings to close in Veneto) are currently on standby due to lack of funds from Local Authorities.
