ENR 2019: Italferr is a world leader amongst engineering companies

The FS Group company was the fifth-best new entry in the prestigious international listing, the Top 150 Global Design Firms

As the fifth-best new entry in the Top 150 Global Design Firms and with a 24-place improvement in the Top 225 International Design FirmsItalferr – an FS Italiane company – confirms its position as one of the world’s leading engineering companies.

This year, Italferr has joined the Top 150 Global Design Firms, the international listing drawn up by Engineering News Record (ENR). The list includes the most important engineering companies ranked by worldwide turnover. The FS Italiane company turned out to be the fifth best new entry, coming in at 130th place.

The Top 225 International Design Firms ranking looks at turnover relating to international projects. In 2019, Italferr has confirmed its position amongst the leading companies and has improved its ranking by 24 places, moving up to 147th.

ENR is the most authoritative engineering and construction magazine, which carries out research and analysis of the main trends in the sector, in the United States and worldwide.

The Italferr result confirms the recognition of the experience and excellence of the employees of the FS Italiane Group, which has been shown in important infrastructure and transport projects in Italy and around the world.

Italferr is currently working overseas on 35 projects in 15 countries and five continents dealing with conventional, high speed and mass transit rail solutions. More than 200 railway experts are working in the teams on planning, technical assistance, project management consulting (PMC) and construction management. Italferr is particularly recognised around the world as a specialist in tunnels, system technologies, system integration, interface management and in the integration of high-speed systems with existing networks.

ENR magazine publishes annual rankings of the main companies involved in construction, engineering, architecture and ecological services projects. They are based on annual revenues in national and international markets and are considered a point of reference for the international engineering sector.
