Capacity Development Training activities dedicated to Turkish State Railway (TCDD) track maintenance staff is set to commence. FS Italiane’s technical engineering know-how shall be passed on through training courses designed for TCDD’s needs, as envisaged in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on 26 May 2017 and by the joint declaration signed on 8 May 2018 at the 10th UIC World Congress on High Speed Rail in Ankara.
On 21 January 2019, Engineer Isa Apadyn, Director General of TCDD and Vice President of UIC, inaugurated the courses, thanking FS Italiane for its important contribution and collaboration throughout this crucial phase for the Turkish State Railways. The commencement of the courses was also an opportunity to discuss a possible continuation of the partnership with La Sapienza University of Rome for further training in railway engineering dedicated to the TCDD personnel.
Over the years, FS Italiane Group has provided consultancy services to TCDD through Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, Trenitalia and Italferr
