Also this year, the FS Italiane Group is taking part in the Clean Up The World initiative, organising for Saturday, 2 October – together with Legambiente – a day for FS personnel to dedicate their time to the redevelopment of certain urban areas.
Armed with a special cleaning kit, FS volunteers will care for outdoor areas across eight stations throughout Italy, restoring their decorum and liveability.
Open to families, the event also involves younger attendees with creative recycling and environmental awareness workshops, to learn from a young age about the importance and delicacy of natural balances and the value of recycling.
