The CEO of FS Italiane attended the closing ceremony of the twelfth edition of the 2nd level Master’s in “Railway Infrastructure and System Engineering”

The closing ceremony of the twelfth edition of the 2nd level Master’s in “Railway Infrastructure and System Engineering” 2015-2016 took place at the Engineering Department of “La Sapienza” University in Rome, at San Pietro in Vincoli, when students who finished the course were invited to talk about their internships.

The closing ceremony was dedicated to presenting the thirteenth edition of the Master’s 2016-2017 in “Railway Infrastructure and System Engineering”, organised by the FS Italiane Group in collaboration with La Sapienza University in Rome and other major partner companies such as Hitachi Rail Italy, Ansaldo STS, Alstom, Bombardier Transport Italy, Roma Metropolitane, Almaviva and Ferrotramviaria.

The opening ceremony was attended by the CEO of FS Italiane, Renato Mazzoncini, senior management from our Companies and representatives from other partner companies.

This Master’s, now in its twelfth edition, once again represents the major investment in training made by our company for young engineers, allowing them to acquire the essential multidisciplinary skills they need to grasp the opportunities offered by a highly innovative sector such as the railway industry.

The teaching timetable is full time for 7 months, including the final internship (June – July 2017) at one of our partner companies with the option of alternating time in the classroom, seminars and project work with trips to construction yards and facilities, field experience and discussions with managers from the FS Italiane Group and other companies.

This initiative is part of the collaboration brought forward by our company with the world of education and academies so that the training offered increasingly meets business needs and young outstanding resources can be scouted.
