Francesca, Elisa and Antonio are amongst the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane’s top ten ambassadors. They are employees of the FS Group, chosen to write a real manifesto of the company’s identity and nurture a network of shared values fed by their enthusiasm and passion.

Francesca, for example, deals with Media Relations. Elisa is part of the Anti-corruption team, whilst Antonio works every day in the Material and Traction Service for the FSItaliane Foundation. Theirs are just some of the ten different stories, which will be joined by others in the coming weeks, to share what it means to be part of the FS Group.

The #100ambassadorxFS project, inaugurated on 20 December with the workshop-event at the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Headquarters, was created to encourage the interaction and participation of all employees in order to spread the foundations that inspire the new Strategic Plan through the voice of those participating in the front line.

Luca Torchia – Chief Communications Officer, Massimo Bruno – Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and Anna Maria Morrone – Head of Organisation & People Development, kicked-off the project.

There are ten of you here before me and yet I see 83,000 people, women and men who guarantee the sustainable mobility of the country and of millions of Italians each day; 83,000 of us here to represent a very powerful network,” said Luca Torchia to those present, emphasising, “Communication will be one of the fundamental tools to support the new Strategic Plan. It is for this reason that I wanted one of the key projects of the new communication plan to arise amongst the people of FS, to be given to them as a pledge. This we baptised #100ambassadorxFS. A community that will help us multiply our network and support the Group in this very important moment.”

Massimo Bruno underlined, “The FS Group is the main player in the implementation of Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan and a major player in the restart of our country.” Hence the importance of cultivating human capital to work in perspective, where networking is “an act of great humanity but also of business intelligence”. He continues, “The attention to people, the projects we are implementing for their enhancement, for us at FS, is what makes us take that leap in quality and is one of the objectives of this important project.”

For Anna Maria Morrone, “Everybody has a role and to talk about it represents a value for the whole Group.” Her speech underlined the importance of individual talent, inclusion and relationships in saying, “Sharing is key to truly being a team, to being curious, open, passionate and critical people; it allows us not to be satisfied with paths already travelled and to create new ones, our own, those in which we believe.”

Together with the Group’s internal spokespersons, 20 external influencers will then be involved, as protagonists on the digital territory and closely aligned to FS values. Their contribution will be added to the internal voice so as to interpret the strategy that guides the evolution of the FS Group thanks to many new initiatives.

The project will continue to take shape in the coming weeks. Then, with the arrival of the new year, the contest will start to involve other employees who – with their faces, thoughts and passion – will create the mosaic of FS Ambassadors as the combination of identity and the multiplicity of skills that makes the FS Italiane Group unique.

83,000 people represent a truly large community. Their transformation is passed on through their stories. They are the stories of all of us.
