Chief Corporate Affairs Officer 
 

From 1st August 2021, Massimo Bruno is Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group.

Born in 1965 in Naples, he graduated in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology, and then in Pharmacy at the University of Rome La Sapienza, where he also obtained a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

He began his career as coordinator of environmental hygiene activities at AgipPetroli S.p.A. units, on behalf of the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Biologically Active Substances at La Sapienza University.

In 1999 he joined the Enel Group dealing with Environmental Policies (1999-2003) and then held a managerial position in External Relations, first handling relations with Confindustria (2004-2006), and later as Head of Territorial and Confindustria External Relations (2006-2014). He subsequently held the position of Head of Institutional Affairs Italy and then of Head of Personnel Enel Italy.

He was also a Director of Enel Distribuzione S.p.A. and Alpe Adria Energie S.r.l., as well as Chairman of Nuove Energie S.r.l.

He is a member of various Confindustria (Confederation of Italian Industry) Boards and Councils, including the Venice and Lazio Unindustria Boards, Vice President of WEC Italy - the Italian Committee of the World Energy Council.
