Prior, Luca was Head of External Relations and Sustainability for the Terna Group, which he joined in 2017.

He was Head of Investor Relations for the Poste Italiane Group from March 2015 to May 2017, being responsible for managing dealings with national and international institutional investors, both in terms of equity – including the SRIs (Socially-Responsible Investors) – and Fixed Income, with financial analysts and rating agencies. It was in this context that he worked on developing the Group’s equity story, whilst also managing meetings between top management and the financial community, including through global roadshows. In particular, from March to October 2015, in roles of responsibility and coordination, he handled the various phases of origination, investor-targeting, pre-marketing and marketing of the privatisation process and consequent IPO of Poste Italiane, which was listed as a Blue Chip company on the main list of the Italian Stock Exchange.

From September 1999 to March 2015, he was Head of Investor Relations for the Enel Group. In this context, he has managed significant operations with increasing roles of responsibility, such as the IPO of Enel S.p.A. and the subsequent activation of listings on the Italian Stock Exchange and the NYSE as well as the Public Offer of Sale for the 3rd and 4th tranches of Enel shares.

For Terna S.p.A., he oversaw the IPO and subsequent launch of its listing on the Italian Stock Exchange. This was followed by private placement of the 2nd tranche of Terna shares on the market, the 100% takeover bid on the shares of the Spanish utility Endesa S.A., the share capital increase of Enel S.p.A., the IPO of Enel Green Power S.p.A. and the subsequent launch of its listing on the Italian Stock Exchange. Then came the capital increase of the Chilean subsidiary Enersis S.A. and the Public Offer of Sale for shares of the Iberian subsidiary Endesa S.A.

From March 2008 until March 2014, he was Secretary General of AIR (Associazione Italiana Investor Relations – or, the Italian Investor Relations Association).

From March 1998 to September 1999, he headed the Stock Exchange Listing Project and subsequently became Head of IR for the multinational car components company, Manuli Rubber Industries S.p.A. From June 1994 to February 1998, he was General Manager of the Milan office of Assogestioni – the Italian Association of Professional Investors – as well as Head of its relations with the companies issuing share and bond values.

From December 1989 to May 1994, he was part of the Equity Syndicate team of Mediobanca S.p.A., with increasing responsibilities for the project in the operational management of equity capital market operations for companies such as Montedison, Ferruzzi Finanziaria and STET.

He graduated in Business Administration from the “Luigi Bocconi” University of Milan.
