The information in the 2021 Sustainability Report is compared with the previous two years. Any differences in the reporting methodology with respect to the information published in previous Sustainability Reports are due to the refinement of the reporting methods.
This report has been prepared in accordance with the “GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards” guidelines issued by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) in 2016, using the “comprehensive” reporting option. The data and information published in this report were provided directly by the department heads using a dedicated IT platform or were taken from other official sources.
The 2021 Sustainability Report was approved along with the Annual Report and the NFS by the board of directors of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane S.p.A. on 30 March 2022.
FS Italiane is the first railway company in the world to join the GRI Community – an independent international organisation that supports companies and governments in understanding its own impact on sustainability. To this end, the collaboration with the GRI network strengthens FS Italiane’s commitment to communicate all information to its stakeholders according to the principles of transparency, completeness and accuracy.
