All this and much more on your smartphone, thanks to Trovitalia, the new app from La Repubblica Guides. Available for free for iOS and Android systems, the app works through geolocation: it identifies the exact location of the user via GPS, and then offers the nearest station as a starting point.

From here the tourist must indicate the time they have available, and according to the time selected (from one hour to the whole day) they can choose one of the proposed itineraries, including monuments and museums, wellness centres, restaurants, high fashion boutiques, and artisan shops.

The starting points are therefore the stations of Roma Termini, Central Milan, Turin Porta Nuova, Naples Afragola, Central Bari, Bologna, Florence Santa Maria Novella, Lecce, Central Naples, Venice Santa Lucia, and Verona.
And if the tourist arrives at the station on board a Regional or a Freccia, their ticket will give them the right to benefit from special promotions reserved to Trenitalia's customers to access museums, art galleries, and events.
