Rome, 3 June 2024 - Terminali Italia, a Ferrovie dello Stato Group company managing 14 intermodal freight terminals throughout Italy, joins the Logistics Hub.
The transaction took place through the demerger of the entire share capital of Terminali Italia from Rete Ferroviaria Italiana in favour of Mercitalia Logistics.
The lead company of the Logistics Hub thus becomes the sole shareholder of Terminali Italia and will also carry out management and coordination activities with regard to the subsidiary company. Thanks to the integrated management of last-mile terminal services, the appointment of Terminali Italia to the Logistics Hub will enable greater rail-road synergy, which is necessary to increase the share of intermodal freight traffic. The company has an established workforce, with over 230 people.
