The FS Italiane Group is offering all citizens, and its employees, a free app to fill in the new self-certification form when travelling. The form is necessary to comply with the new COVID-19 requirements issued by the government. After filling out your details, the app will generate a PDF file to be printed and shown to police officers.
The app - FS Self-Certification - is already available for download through the official Android store and, for Apple devices, through the iOS store. The same features are also available by browser at https://autocertificazione.fsitaliane.it and, for FS Italiane Group employees, through the company's Intranet portal. This app launch is an additional effort by the FS Italiane Group to protect and support travellers and employees.
The app uses the new self-certification template provided by the Ministry of the Interior on 17 March 2020. The PDF file, according to the provisions of the Ministry of the Interior, must be printed and shown to police officers during a police control, who will sign it after checking your ID. The details on the form are deleted as soon as you download it, and are not stored on the company's servers. You remain responsible for keeping a copy of the self-certification.
