Cooperation agreement between FS Italiane and East Japan Railways

Mutual technical cooperation in the field of services and railway technology, including through mutual exchange of staff for the development and progress of railways.

This is at the heart of the Cooperation Agreement which the CEO and Director General of FS Italiane, Renato Mazzoncini, signed with the President of East Japan Railways, Satoshi Seino. Italy and Japan have some of the most advanced railway know- how in the world: in fact, they are also equipped with cutting-edge technology in the field of High Speed lines.

At a time when the railway market is becoming increasingly global, this agreement with Japanese railways is a strategic part of the FS Italiane renewal process.
