Milan Porta Garibaldi is the main station on the domestic Centostazioni network, the first station in Milan especially for commuter traffic and the second station in Milan in terms of traffic and the number of services offered after Milan Central Station.

Extensive restyling and renovation recently carried out by Centostazioni, jointly funded by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (Gruppo FS Italiane), have ensured that the station, accessible from Piazza Sigmund Freud, is a multi-function facility receiving tens of thousands of citizens, travellers and tourists in the heart of Milan every day.
