Roberto Mannozzi began his professional career in January 1983 as an Auditor at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. – today’s KPMG – becoming a partner in 1998. At the end of the same year, he joined Ferrovie dello Stato where, in the mid-2000s, he was called upon to cover the role of Director of Administration, Finance and Control (CFO) of the newly-formed Trenitalia SpA. In 2006, he moved to the parent company, FS SpA, where he headed the Planning and Control division until January 2008. From this time, Roberto assumed responsibility for the Administration and Budget within the Central Administration, Budget and Tax Department of which, from the end of July 2013, he was appointed as Head, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Finally, on 16 June 2021, the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane SpA’s Board of Directors appointed Roberto as the Manager in charge of the company’s accounting documents preparation pursuant to Law 262/2005 for the 2021–2023 three-year period, a position he has held continuously from August 2013 onwards.

In June 2021, after six years as National President, Roberto was appointed Chairman of the Advisory Council of ANDAF, being the National Association of Administrative and Financial Directors, with over 1,600 members represented by the CFOs of Italian companies and groups. It is within this context that Roberto is a corporate lecturer of the “CFO Specialisation Course” organised for the past thirteen years by ANDAF and the University of Pisa. Additionally, Roberto has been a speaker for many years, both on behalf of this association and for other leading entities, FS included, at conventions and conferences on accounting, finance, corporate law and business management matters.
